Relationship between Personality Dimensions and Quality of Working Life Fatigue in Health Care Workers

Abstract

Background and Objective: Quality of Work Life program, includs any improvements in organizational culture containing the growth and development of employees in the organization. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between personality dimensions and fatigue and quality of life at health care workers inTaleshcity. Methods: The study was conducted within the framework of correlation. Sample of 196 subjects (50 males and 146 females) who were selected through random sampling and completed Walton quality of work life questionnaire and McCrae and Costa 5 personality factors Questionnaire and fatigue scale Chalder.  For Data analysis werea test of correlation coefficient and regression analysis were used. Results: The results showed that personality dimensions of neuroticism (p<0/05, r=0/235) and flexibility with (p<0/05, r=0/213) showed a significant positive correlation with the quality of working life respectively .between score of fatigue and quality of working life (p<0/01, r=-0/26) there is a negative and a significant correlation was obtained. On the other hand, the correlation between mental fatigue (p<0/01, r=0/238) and physical fatigue (p<0/01, r=-0/214) were positive with the quality of working life. The results of stepwise regression analysis showed that 18 % of the quality of working life by a linear combination of the three variables are fatigue, flexibility and neuroticism were predicted. Conclusion: Personality traits and fatigue can be important factors affecting the quality of working life, Therefore, attention to these criteria, the application and implementation of training programs, can affect the quality of life.
