The Role of Spiritual Health Dimensions in Predicting Marital Patterns among the Woman Primary School Women Teachers in City of Karaj

Abstract

Background and Objective: In most cases, marital dissatisfaction occurs due to lack of good communication skills in some of couples. One of the affecting factors on Couples communication patterns is the level of health. Therefore the present study aimed to investigate the role of spiritual health dimension in predicting marital communication patterns.
Methods: The sample consisted of 361 women primary school teachers in Karaj city who are teaching in the 92-93 school year, which completed marital communication patterns Christensen &Sullaway (CPQ) and spiritual health Ellison and Pvlvtzyn (SWBS) questionnaires. Data analysis using descriptive statistics and multivariate regression analysis was performed using SPSS 20.
Results: The findings show that the spiritual health (total) have positive and significant relationship with marital constructive communication pattern (p< 0/01), but have negative significant relationship with avoidance communication patterns and demand / retiring, The results also showed that spiritual health dimension can predict marital communication patterns (manufacturer, avoidance and demand / retiring). The results of the regression analysis showed that the religious health in compared with existential health have greatest role and partnership to predicting the positive and significant (p< 0/01) constructive communication pattern and predicting the negative and significant (p< 0/01) communication patterns avoidance and demand / retiring
Conclusions: Based on this finding, we can understand the role of religious belief and spirituality in marriage and couple relationships in primary school women teachers of Karaj city as an important factor to combat with disputes and conflicts on the communication patterns..
