The Study of Interest to Marriage and Relationship with Attachment Styles and Family Cohesion among Students

Abstract

Introduction : interest to marriage is the most important factor in the prediction of marriage in young people, which is affected by a variety of factors. The aim of this study was to examine the study of interest to marriage and relationship with attachment styles and family cohesion among male students living in dormitories of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences.
Methods: This descriptive- correlational study was performed on all students living in dormitories of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in 2014-15 academic years. The sample consisted of 285 students who were selected through cluster sampling. Data collection tools were Interest Marriage Questionnaire, Hazan and Shaver Adult Attachment Questionnaire and Fischer’s Family Organized Cohesiveness Scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics tests, Pearson Correlation coefficient, and Multiple Linear Regression.
