Abstract
In three past decades, well-being and trying to explain and promote it, always has been important issues in psychological research. The current study also aimed at predicts well-being based on identity styles and spiritual intelligence. The method of the research was survey and in type of correlation. The study population consisted of all students at Raazi University in Kermanshah, among them 320 subjects were selected as a study sample by stratified random sampling. The research data gathered by Berzonsky Identity Style Inventory (ISI-6G, 1992), King’s Spiritual Intelligence Test (2008), and Reef’s Psychological Well-Being Scale (1980); Using Cronbach's alpha test in this study indicated that the reliability of these instruments are 0.78, 0.83 and 0.69, respectively. The data analysis performed by Pearson correlation, multiple regression, and descriptive statistics and applying the statistic software of SPSS19. Data analysis showed that there is the direct and significant relationship between commitment and informational and normative identity styles with some of the psychological well-being components, and there is significant inverse relationship between confusion/ avoidance identity style with psychological well-being. In addition, data analysis of this study showed that psychological well-being can be predicted by awareness of identity styles and levels of spiritual intelligence. The ability to explain the variance of student's psychological well-being through awareness of identity styles and levels of spiritual intelligence of them is one valuable psychological achievement that can be applied for better planning to promote the student's mental health.
