Abstract

Background and Objective: Self-medication is increasing in recent years. That it not only does not help patients and community health But because of side effects and complications that can cause new problems. This study aimed to determine social and cultural factors affecting self-care and self-medication in the shahrekord was in 1393-1394Svrt.
Method: The research method used was survey and The population shahrekord households were old with a sample size of 381 people. Samples random randomly collected through a questionnaire with reliability 9.0. A questionnaire of 95 items in two demographic characteristics (demographic characteristics) and the main questions (based on the objectives and hypotheses) was in the form of Likert. To the analysis of descriptive and inferential statistics (t-test, Pearson test, regression coefficient) in spss software version 19 at a significance level (0.05> p) was used.
Results: The findings suggest that between self-treatment in the community And cheap drugs without prescription drug sales and economic situation there is a significant positive correlation. Based on analysis of. Interpretation of regression results also showed that the significant variables, cheap drugs beta coefficient 0.520 economic situation beta coefficient 0.28. buy without a prescription beta coefficient 0.139 with had the greatest impact on self-treatment and self-medication.
Conclusion: Those who are attempting to self-medicate .This will have a positive attitude towards The problem is caused by a lack of self-treatment side effects It is necessary to raise awareness planning is conducted.
